Job Title: HVAC Service Technician

Job Description

The Commercial Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of refrigeration theory, electrical schematics, pneumatics, electronic control systems, pipe fitting, welding/brazing, and mechanical layouts.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems.
  • Utilize knowledge of refrigeration theory and electrical schematics.
  • Perform work involving pneumatics and electronic control systems.
  • Engage in pipe fitting and welding/brazing tasks.
  • Interpret and execute mechanical layouts.

Essential Skills

  • High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
  • 2+ years of commercial HVAC experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Proficient electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to read schematics and work plans.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • EPA certification preferred.
  • Ability to work after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays with short or no notice.
  • Physically agile, dexterous, and able to work in confined spaces.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tonawanda, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $40.00/hr.
