Job Title: HVAC Technician
Job Description

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join our team. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing residential HVAC units, furnaces, and heat pumps. The typical workday is from 8 AM to 4 PM, with flexibility to work late as needed. You will be responsible for running service calls independently and completing equipment installations with the assistance of a helper.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and start up HVAC systems in residential and occasionally commercial environments.
  • Utilize knowledge of air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, and mechanical layouts for various projects.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance, inspections, site surveys, and service requests.
  • Replace and modify equipment or systems as needed or requested by customers.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to address service requests.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in residential HVAC service.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Pass a background check.
  • Knowledge in electrical troubleshooting and heat pumps/gas furnaces.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Universal EPA certification.
  • Preferably 5 or more years of experience as a residential technician.

Work Environment

The standard work schedule is from 8 AM to 4 PM, with potential for jobs to run late or start early. Technicians are on-call one week every month, Monday to Sunday. The role requires working in various weather conditions, including dirty, hot, sticky, wet, and cold environments, and involves bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting at least 50lbs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greencastle, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
