Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Fishers, IN
Position OverviewWe are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a dedicated in‑house engineering group responsible for HVAC system design and limited plumbing design support. This position supports design‑build project delivery, working directly alongside internal fabrication, installation, BIM, and electrical teams to develop efficient, constructible mechanical systems.
Unlike traditional plan/spec engineering roles, this position offers direct involvement in design/bid and design‑build work, allowing engineers to maintain technical authority while benefiting from streamlined project coordination and accelerated design cycles. The engineering team plays an integral role throughout project execution, from concept development through construction support.
Core ResponsibilitiesThis role is part of a fully integrated engineering organization where design decisions directly inform fabrication and installation. Engineers benefit from close collaboration with BIM specialists, electrical engineers, and construction teams, resulting in practical, efficient designs and reduced rework. The organization emphasizes technical rigor, coordination efficiency, and accountability across disciplines.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.00 - $46.00/hr.
