Human Resources Specialist - Payroll & Benefits
Location: La Cañada Flintridge
Salary: $27-33/hour, based on experience

Schedule: Fully Onsite
As the Human Resources Specialist- Payroll & Benefits, you’ll play a critical role in supporting a nationwide workforce. You’ll ensure employees are paid accurately and on time while also serving as a trusted resource for benefits, HR systems, and overall employee support. This role goes beyond processing—it’s about driving efficiency, engagement, and a positive employee experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
Payroll & HRIS
- Process accurate semi-monthly payroll for a multi-state workforce, including commissions and incentives
- Maintain and manage HRIS data within ADP Workforce Now (WFN)
- Oversee employee lifecycle changes including onboarding, status updates, and terminations
- Train employees and managers on timekeeping and self-service tools
- Run reports, audit data, and ensure compliance with payroll regulations
Benefits & Wellness
- Support and enhance company wellness programs and initiatives
- Assist with open enrollment, benefits communication, and plan administration
- Act as a resource for employees on benefits, claims, disability, and leave of absence
- Ensure compliance with ACA and support reporting and data audits
Employee Relations
- Provide guidance on company policies and employment regulations (FMLA, FLSA, etc.)
- Maintain internal communications and contribute to company culture initiatives
- Partner with leadership to identify trends and improve HR processes
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in multi-state payroll and benefits administration
- Strong experience with ADP Workforce Now (WFN) preferred
- Advanced Excel and HRIS reporting skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to support all levels of the organization
- High attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
- Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a continuous improvement approach
