Whom we are looking for:

We are seeking a highly motivated HR Manager in our Human Resources department. This position will drive the development and day-to-day execution of the Human Resource team while setting enterprise-wide HR strategies for the Company. The HR Manager will help foster an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, goal attainment, and organizational growth. The HR Manager contributes to the corporate strategy by leading initiatives that attract and retain talent, develop employees and leaders, and align key business priorities.  Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders are essential for success in this role.

The HR Manager will be based at our South Hackensack, NJ office with potential travel to our Midtown, Manhattan office. 


Responsibilities:

  • Manage all recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes
  • Partner with corporate leadership, providing guidance on HR matters including talent management, employee relations, and performance management
  • Advise managers on how to address team dynamics, resolve conflicts, and foster a positive and productive work environment
  • Work closely with business leaders to identify skill gaps and implement development programs that build leadership capabilities, enhance employee engagement, and support career progression
  • Support in the design and delivery of training programs to address identified skill gaps, improving the overall competency of employees
  • Create processes to utilize HR data and analytics to identify trends, monitor KPIs, and provide actionable insights that support business decisions and improve HR practices
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees and managers, providing guidance on the leave process and addressing any concerns

·       Investigate notices received from any Federal and/or State agencies regarding payroll taxes issues or tax filing penalties


Requirements:

·       Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years’ HR experience; PHR/SPHR and/or Master’s Degree a plus

·       5 + years working for fashion accessories, apparel, and /or teamwear and sports

·       Exceptional people skills, including active listening, empathy, conflict resolution and persuasion

·       Demonstrated knowledge of human resource disciplines, including employee relations, benefits, payroll, talent acquisition, performance management, coaching, and development (Generalist)

·       Ability to analyze, plan and execute corporate initiatives

·       Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to present ideas and recommendations effectively.

·       Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries/complaints and facilitate conflict resolution.

·       Expert knowledge of local, state, and federal laws governing employment issues

·       Ability to professionally interact with all levels of the organization
