Our client, a leading law firm located in New Jersey, is hiring a Human Resources Manager with law firm or professional services firm experience. As a Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for all human resource functions for the firm which will include, recruitment, performance evaluations, benefits and employee relations, among other HR functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Determine all staffing needs for the firm; meet and maintain benchmarked staffing ratios and trends.
- Oversee non-exempt personnel including administrative assistants and other clerical staff to ensure that firm expectations are being met.
- Oversee employee relations and resolution of employment conflicts.
- Firm recruiting, hiring, development and retention programs in compliance with state/federal regulations and recommended employment law practices.
- Handle requests for leaves of absence.
- Coordinate with the CHRO and Payroll and Benefits Coordinator regarding all firm benefit plans, including 401(k)/Profit Sharing Plan.
- Communicate with managing partners and Chief Human Resources Officer informed of HR matters; assist with any reports and financial analysis as requested.
- Assist with integration of new attorneys.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or related field, or a comparable level of work experience.
- Prior law firm experience, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR or PHR a plus.
- Minimum 4+ years of experience with legal or other professional service organizations in order to administer a professional HR system.
- Ability to maintain effective/professional relationships with partners, attorneys and staff.
- Broad knowledge of law firm services, policies and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail essential.

The salary range for this position is $125,000 to $140,000.
