Human Resources Intern

HR Focus area: Recruitment

Location: Mukwonago, WI onsite work -- candidates must be able to commute daily to this location*

Position Reports to: HR Business Partner, Mukwonago

Hours: 40 per week




We have an exciting opportunity for a summer HR intern! This internship is aimed at a new graduate, Master’s student or a rising senior and offers valuable experience supporting the HR department at Aptar’s Mukwonago facility. Finding and attracting talent is a key area of HR and is fundamental to any future HR career. In this role, you will assist in the entire recruitment process from start to finish, beginning with an open position and concluding with the welcoming of a new employee. Additionally, you will represent Aptar at various business community events, job fairs, and other gatherings.

We would like you to commit to:

  • A 12-week program starting in May/June
  • Full-time work in our Mukwonago, WI facility

As an HR Intern in Recruitment, You Will Be:

  • Identifying needs from hiring managers
  • Developing data analytics and forecasting models with the assistance of the Site HRBP and HR Director
  • Entering position into ATS (SAP SuccessFactors) and obtaining appropriate approvals
  • Partnering with hiring managers to understand needs and developing sourcing strategies, which include community engagement
  • Reviewing applications and selecting candidates to enter the recruitment process
  • Conducting initial phone screens and submitting candidates to be interviewed by department
  • Scheduling all interviews
  • Drafting and extending offers to chosen candidates
  • Providing weekly updates on progress of candidates and open positions, as well as other administrative support to members of the HR team.
  • Other projects or duties as needed


Who We are Looking For:

Education and Experience:

  • Working on a bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources, Business Administration or other related field. Will also consider new graduates who can commit to 12 weeks.


Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality.
  • Microsoft Office suite knowledge.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently.
  • Demonstrate initiative and follow through with respect to tasks and assignments.


*candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship. Relocation is not available for this position.
