Foot Locker is looking for an enthusiastic and organized self-starter to join our dynamic North America Divisional Human Resources (HR) team! The HR Generalist will provide a full range of HR support and program implementation activities across many of our HR functional areas including: onboarding & orientation, recruitment, employee engagement, internships, leaves of absence, and records management. You will support the HR team with all our strategic programs and help lead transformative initiatives!
This is a hybrid position. On site work will be done at either at our Corporate Office in St. Petersburg, FL or New York, NY. This position also has the ability to work remotely a few days a week.
VERANTWORTLICHKEITEN
- Manage virtual new hire onboarding process including all necessary tasks pre-hire (IT equipment & set-up, processing new hire paperwork, I-9s, etc.), upon hire by facilitating new hire orientation and educating new hires on policies and procedures, and providing ongoing communication beyond their first day.
- Lead the recruitment process for entry level and pipeline positions in partnership with the Talent Acquisition team.
- Partner with hiring managers to ensure a seamless candidate experience. Manage feedback process for candidates, provide a point of view to influence hiring decisions, participate in intake meetings, calibrations, and interviews. Recommend salary based on internal and external data. Attend career fairs and co-facilitate student visits as needed.
- Foster a strong culture through employee lifecycle experiences including onboarding, engagement events, and development.
- Diagnose opportunity areas and partner with HR Manager/Sr. HR Director to develop action plans driving improvements. Champion engagement by coordinating home office employee events such as seasonal celebrations and quarterly Foot Locker business updates/town halls. Lead engagement survey initiatives in partnership with broader HR team.
- Manage and facilitate the Summer Internship Program, including pre-planning of program experience & agenda, recruitment support, mid-program events and checkpoints and post-program follow up and evaluation.
- Coordinate workplace activities in partnership with broader HR and business teams.
- Act as liaison between HRIS team and PeopleSoft database updates across North America including payroll changes, off-cycle, transfers, and promotions.
- Understand how PeopleSoft changes implicate other systems and processes.
- Manage employee leave of absence process; act as liaison with external vendor for leave administration.
- Provide direct support to the North America Division Human Resources (HR) team in all areas of HR including but not limited to annual core processes, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards (Compensation & Benefits), Employee Relations, and Talent Management.
- Assist with the annual Performance Appraisal process for the Divisional corporate office in partnership with HR team.
- Assist with the Executive Development Review process in partnership with HR team.
- Write, collect, and consolidate organizational announcements across North America.
- Maintain electronic team member records in all systems. Update various reports and org charts as needed.
- Administrator for multiple HR systems including time-off database and Kronos.
- Research, resolve, and respond to team member inquiries.
- Manage the HRVP’s calendar (booking meetings, managing invites, etc.).
- Coordinate travel (air, train, lodging & car rental) as needed. Coordinate meeting logistics (invites, conference rooms & catering) as needed.
- Special projects and ad-hoc reporting as needed.
QUALIFIKATIONEN
- 2-4 years relevant HR experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or a combination of equivalent education and experience in HR
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Systems experience with Oracle PeopleSoft, Kronos, and Success Factors a plus
- Ability to work in a fast paced, results driven environment
- Ability to multitask and prioritize; must have strong organization, time management, and follow-up skills leading with a sense of urgency
