Human Resources Generalist

Role Description:

The Human Resources Generalist provides day-to-day HR support to the Ardagh Metal Packaging (AMP) headquarters, helps drive key AMP HR initiatives, and partners with site and plant HR teams to ensure consistent, compliant HR processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete required personnel actions and documentation for all Metal corporate salaried employees in compliance with delegation of authority (DOA).
  • Execute SOX controls for Metal non-plant salaried employees.
  • Serve as the HR SOX subject matter expert (SME) and primary point of contact for plant HR Managers on SOX requirements; partner with the SOX Analyst to align HR control processes; maintain the HR Processes and Actions Matrix.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
  • Coordinate and execute onboarding for all new hires in the Chicago office, including first-day preparations and new-hire orientation; serve as a point of contact for AMP salaried employees regarding benefits and payroll questions.
  • Coordinate the H-1B process in partnership with internal stakeholders and immigration counsel.
  • Coordinate onsite employee benefits, wellness programming, and employee relations activities.
  • Administer the Tuition Reimbursement program and process relocations for AMP North America.
  • Manage the relationship with Sterling Engineering to onboard external contractors.
  • Support customer (e.g., Coke, Pepsi) HR-related audits as needed.
  • Provide HR administrative and operational support for Hart Print, as needed.
  • Support the Talent Acquisition and Compensation & Benefits (C&B) teams with coordination, documentation, and employee lifecycle processes, as needed.
  • Serve as the SME for the PDR system and support the People Development Manager.
  • Manage FMLA and short- and long-term disability processes for Chicago office employees, ensuring timely administration and clear guidance throughout the leave process.
  • Maintain employee records and files, ensuring accuracy and timely updates within HRIS.
  • Provide support to plant HR Managers and the HR Leadership team, as directed.

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Knowledge of HR systems (e.g., SuccessFactors, Kronos, PeopleSoft).
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business preferred

The anticipated base annual salary range for this role is between $70,400.00 and $105,600.00 per year. This role is bonus eligible. The bonus incentive program is based on the company meeting or exceeding certain targets. Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate and is only applicable for roles that are based out of Illinois. The final salary will be determined after considering relevant factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate’s qualifications, experience, and work location, where appropriate.
