Position Summary

The HR Coordinator position is an entry-level position in support of the Human Resources function and assists with Houston office operations.


Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Previous HR or law firm experience a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:


Personnel Onboarding and Offboarding

  • Assist with office and workstation set-up and breakdown, including supplies, business cards, and name plates.
  • Assist with collection of onboarding documents.
  • Maintain electronic account registrations (E-filing, LMS, Westlaw, Law360, ECFx).
  • Maintain building access permissions, including parking garage, suite, and fitness center.
  • Maintain Firm lists, including those on the Firm Intranet (Phone Extension List, Legal Assistant Assignment List, Birthday Calendar, Employee Directory, Emergency Contacts).
  • Update onboarding and offboarding checklists.
  • Schedule routine Firm system and security training.


Recruiting

  • Collect, organize, and perform initial screening of LinkedIn resumes.
  • Schedule screening calls and staff interviews.
  • Assist Recruiting and Professional Development Coordinator with recruiting and event planning, as needed.


Employee Recognition

  • Assist with Administrative Professionals Day activities.
  • Assist with Employee Tenure Program.


Firm Events

  • Assist with monthly Firm lunches.
  • Assist with annual events (Halloween Parade, Thanksgiving Lunch, Holiday Lunch and Gift Exchange, Holiday Charitable Campaign).


Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment, primarily in-office.
