Heavy Equipment Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to perform engine overhauls, hydraulic system repairs, and electrical troubleshooting. This role requires the use of computerized tools to diagnose, repair, and overhaul engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulic systems. Additionally, you will perform routine servicing, including oil changes, lubrication, and cleaning parts to prevent breakdowns, as well as travel to job sites to repair broken-down machinery on-site. Ensuring all machinery meets safety regulations through inspections and tests is a key component of this position.

Responsibilities

• Perform engine overhauls, hydraulic system repairs, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Utilize computerized tools to diagnose, repair, and overhaul engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulic systems.
• Conduct routine servicing, including oil changes, lubrication, and cleaning parts to prevent breakdowns.
• Travel to job sites to repair broken-down machinery on-site.
• Ensure all machinery meets safety regulations through inspections and tests.

• 2+ years of experience with heavy equipment or agricultural machinery.
• High school diploma or GED, often combined with specialized training or a degree in diesel technology.
• Capability to lift up to 50–100 lbs, climb on machinery, and work in varied weather conditions.

Work Environment

This position operates on the 2nd shift from 2pm to 10:30pm, Monday through Friday, with the potential for overtime as needed. The work environment is outdoors in a heavy industrial setting, characterized by a fast-paced, physically demanding atmosphere that can be challenging due to high-pressure situations.

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
