Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The role involves working primarily on heavy equipment, with occasional assistance required in the transportation sector. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7 am to 4 pm, with an expectation of 45-50 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Perform servicing, preventive maintenance, oil changes, and DOT inspections on heavy equipment such as Liebherr, Volvo, Cat forklifts, and other forklifts.
  • Troubleshoot and repair various types of mobile equipment including Skid-Steers, Forklifts, Loaders, Car Crushers, Balers, and Street Sweepers.
  • Read job orders and observe/listen to equipment to determine malfunctions and plan work procedures.
  • Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices to ensure safety compliance.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in diesel engines and preventive maintenance.
  • Strong experience in maintenance and repair of heavy equipment.
  • Ability to navigate and utilize a PM computer system.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Basic tool set required; specialty tools will be provided.
  • Capability to work independently and occasionally travel to other sites.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $72800.00/yr.
