As a Healthcare Coalition Facilitator at East Central Public Health District,you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.

Georgia Department of Public Health Commissioner and leaders encourages all employees to engage in regular wellness activities and to make lifestyle choices that promote health and well-being. The use of wellness breaks during the workday is authorized to support this philosophy and assist employees in meeting their wellness goals. A maximum of 30-minutes in a given workday may be used to engage in wellness activities, generally in the form of two 15-minute breaks or one 30-minute break.
1. Serve as the Coalition Facilitator for a Healthcare Coalition. Actively participate with a primary Healthcare Coalition and serve as a backup to neighboring Healthcare Coalitions. This includes communication, planning, documentation, and reporting with regional Healthcare Coalition members and state partners.

2. Assist with the development and implementation of the regional Healthcare Coalition strategic plan to meet Performance Measures.

3. Serve as the liaison between District Public Health Emergency Preparedness (local ESF8) and the Healthcare Coalition.

4. Assist in the development of coalition budget work plan to include trainings/activities related to risk, resource gaps, and corrective actions from exercise.

5. Actively participate and attend meetings related to emergency preparedness in the healthcare community. Some meetings require overnight travel.

6. Develop and maintain/update Healthcare Coalition plans with the Healthcare Coalition Executive Committee.

7. Support closed pod planning with healthcare facilities to strengthen countermeasures and mitigation.

8. Maintain and develop relationships with existing and new healthcare partners/organizations in the community by participating in meetings and trainings.

9. Maintain Healthcare Coalition member contact directories.

10. Serve as main communication channel to Healthcare Coalition members on behalf of the Executive Committee.

11. Maintain Healthcare Coalition resource inventory in collaboration with the Healthcare Coalition Coordinator using the statewide inventory system.

12. Provide or coordinate training to Healthcare Coalition member agencies as requested on emergency preparedness related topics to include the National Incident Management System.

13. Coordinate annual budgets, reimbursements, and purchasing with the Healthcare Coalition Coordinator and the Executive Committee to include budget preparation, financial management, and achievement of grant deliverables.

14. Assist and participate with local, regional, and state exercise planning and drills by engaging the Healthcare community and other community partners.

15. Share on-call responsibilities with the Emergency Preparedness staff and keep all contact information up to date .Preparedness related topics to include the National Incident Management System.

Master’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university OR
Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university.
1+ years of emergency management or public health experience

DPH accepts educational credential recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) will be considered. DPH will contact educational institutions to verify degree, diploma, licensure, etc.
