The Health Program Manager – Clinical Services position is a multifaceted senior management leadership role responsible for both program oversight and direct clinical support. This position supervises multiple Public Health staff while managing an assigned Public Health program(s). The role provides oversight of clinical operations and serves as a nurse in the Mammoth clinic and Community based clinics as needed. Key responsibilities include planning, organizing, and advancing program initiatives, along with conducting annual performance evaluations for supervised staff. This position is based in Mammoth and reports directly to the Public Health Deputy Director.

Minimum QualificationsEducation and Experience: Any combination of training and experience which would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities might be:
- Public Health Nurse (PHN) certificate (within six months of hire)
- Possession of a bachelor’s degree in Public Health Nursing, Nursing, or a related field.
- Post-graduate coursework in Public Health, Public Administration, or a related field is desired.
- Experience in Public Health or Public Administration is highly desirable.
- Nursing experience in a rural public health setting is highly desirable.
License or Certificate:
- Possession of an active Registered Nurse (RN) license through the California Board of Registered Nursing is required.
- Disaster Service Workers: All Mono County employees are designated as Disaster Service Workers during a proclaimed emergency and may be required to perform certain emergency services at the direction of the department and / or County.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a California driver's license.
Additional Requirements:
Travel, including driving, within and outside of Mono County will be required for meetings and training.
