Job Description

We are seeking a Night-Shift HSE Supervisor to oversee site safety on an active construction project. This hands-on and field-focused role emphasizes safety inspections, hazard mitigation, incident investigations, and regulatory compliance. The position requires working independently during overnight hours to enforce safety standards, ensure workforce alertness, and maintain a calm, controlled jobsite environment. This is a direct-hire position supporting a complex, high-activity construction site.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily safety inspections, audits, and JHAs
• Investigate incidents and near-misses; perform root cause analysis
• Lead emergency response planning and execution
• Deliver toolbox talks and safety training
• Maintain OSHA logs, reports, safety metrics, and FMCSA drug/alcohol testing records
• Manage safety programs using digital platforms (e.g., ACC Build)
• Serve as on-site OSHA Competent Person
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, state, and federal regulations
• Provide independent overnight field safety oversight
• Monitor work activities and correct hazards or unsafe behaviors in real time

Essential Skills

• 4–8+ years of full-time construction safety experience, preferably on commercial or industrial projects.
• One of the following safety certifications: CSP (4+ years experience), ASP/GSP/SMS (6+ years experience), or CHST/OHST (8+ years experience), and current OSHA 500 (Construction) certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Certification in CPR/First Aid/AED.
• FMCSA-compliant Drug & Alcohol Reasonable Suspicion Supervisor Training.

Work Environment

The role is based at an active, large-scale construction site with continuous overnight operations. It requires a high level of independence and autonomy in the field, emphasizing professionalism, accountability, and calm decision-making. The project offers long-term stability, with work expected to continue through 2028 and a strong likelihood of continued employment beyond. The schedule involves 10–12 hour shifts from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM, with consistent overnight presence required to support safety and compliance needs. The environment is fast-paced, with multiple trades, moving equipment, and ongoing activity, and involves frequent walking throughout the site. The site is a secure, controlled environment with strict access requirements.

This is a Permanent position based out of Denver, CO.

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
