Health And Safety Manager

PROMAN Staffing is supporting a global manufacturing client in search of a Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) Manager to lead SHE programs at their Cleveland, Ohio chemical manufacturing facility.

This DIRECT HIRE role is critical to ensuring safe, compliant operations in a regulated, process‑driven environment while supporting continuous improvement across production, maintenance, and engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Safety, Health, and Environmental programs within a chemical and/or batch manufacturing facility
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state/local regulations, including Process Safety Management (PSM)
• Drive risk assessments, incident investigations, and preventive actions related to high‑hazard processes
• Partner with Operations and Engineering on process design, change management, and engineering controls
• Support safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous and non‑hazardous chemicals and waste streams
• Analyze safety, health, and environmental trends and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Develop and deliver SHE training for operators, technicians, and leadership
• Lead emergency response planning, drills, and coordination with local agencies
• Prepare regulatory reports and communicate effectively with leadership and authorities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
• SHE leadership experience in chemical, batch, or regulated manufacturing environments required
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, PSM, and environmental compliance
• OSHA 30 required
• Experience supporting hazardous materials, high‑risk processes, and manufacturing operations
