About Us

Evergreen Devco, Inc., is a commercial real estate development company founded in 1974 with offices in Phoenix, Denver, Los Angeles, and Salt Lake City. We are seeking a Head of Technology, Engineering & AI to lead the modernization of our company’s technology infrastructure and build intelligent systems that transform how we manage data, projects, and workflows. While the role is ideally based in or near Phoenix, AZ, we are open to flexible arrangements for the right candidate.

This role will oversee the transition from fragmented local systems and manual processes to a secure cloud-based platform supported by AI and automation. The goal is to create a unified technology environment that improves efficiency, decision-making, and collaboration across departments including development, leasing, finance, construction, and property management.

The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, capable of architecting scalable systems while identifying practical applications of AI that streamline operations and unlock insights across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure & Data Systems

• Oversee migration from local servers to a secure, cloud-based environment accessible across offices and remotely, making sure we select the correct system based on an overall strategy
• Implement data governance, security, and automated backup systems.
• Create a centralized platform for company-wide project and operational data.

Enterprise Project & Deal Platform

• Build a cloud-based system to track development projects, leases, deals, milestones, and deadlines.
• Enable cross-department reporting, automated reminders, and shared access to key project information.

AI & Workflow Automation

• Implement AI tools to extract and summarize information from legal documents such as leases, purchase agreements, and loan documents.
• Develop enterprise search tools for internal documents and historical projects.
• Automate manual workflows currently managed through spreadsheets (budgeting, reporting, deal tracking).

Data & Market Intelligence

• Build systems to collect, analyze, and visualize market and project data to support site selection, development decisions, and investment analysis.

Operational Efficiency

• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks across departments including budgeting, document review, reporting, and marketing content generation.

Technology Strategy

• Establish a long-term technology and AI roadmap aligned with the company’s growth strategy.
• Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience in IT leadership, technology strategy, or digital transformation.
• Experience managing IT infrastructure, systems, and cybersecurity in a multi-office organization.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing technical teams.
• Experience implementing enterprise systems, automation, or AI-driven tools.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
