We need a Head of Content who can match that ambition.The RoleThis isn't a "manage from a distance" role. You'll be in the trenches every day, writing, posting, building, and obsessing over what's working and what's not. You'll lead a team of writers, but you'll also be the one setting the standard with your own output.This role goes far beyond newsletters. You'll think about content in the broadest sense. Anything AlphaSignal can create to increase brand awareness, build reputation, and drive growth. That means blog posts, yes, but also interactive websites, mini products, research papers, GitHub repos, notebooks, tools, and formats we haven't invented yet.Your mission: make AlphaSignal impossible to ignore across every major platform and the AI community at large.What You'll DoOwn the content engine. Build and execute a content strategy that drives measurable growth across X, LinkedIn, and Threads. Then open up new fronts (Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube) and make them work.Think beyond the written word. When a major AI development drops (say, Karpathy publishes a new theory on auto-research) you don't just write a summary. You ask: what's the most valuable thing we can create around this? A how-to guide? An opinion piece? A GitHub repo? An interactive notebook? A mini product? You think in formats, not just articles.Launch things. Ship small products, interactive experiences, research breakdowns, and tools that the AI community actually uses and shares. Content isn't just posts. It's anything that puts AlphaSignal at the center of the conversation.Be hands-on. Write, edit, and publish content yourself. You set the bar, not just the strategy. If a post needs to go out and it's 11pm, you're the one hitting publish.Spot what's going viral in AI before everyone else. Monitor the AI landscape obsessively. Identify the trending conversations, breakthroughs, and debates, then build a content strategy that puts AlphaSignal at the center of them.Double down on collaborative content. Partner with AI researchers, engineers, and well-known figures in the space to co-create content. Guest posts, joint research, co-hosted conversations. You'll build the relationships and make the collaborations happen.Build creator partnerships. Identify and collaborate with creators, influencers, and thought leaders in the AI space to amplify our reach and credibility.Lead and grow a team of writers. Manage your current team, and hire new talent as we scale. Give clear direction, sharp feedback, and make sure every piece of content that goes out is on brand.Guard the brand. Every post, reply, video, repo, and thread should feel unmistakably AlphaSignal. You'll own the voice, tone, and quality across every channel and format.Who You AreYou have 25,000+ followers on at least one platform (X or LinkedIn). This is a hard requirement. We need someone who's already proven they can build an audience, not someone who's planning to figure it out.You've built and scaled a content presence before, ideally at a tech or AI-focused company, or as a creator yourself.You're technically literate in AI. You know what RAG is, how tokenization works, why models hallucinate, and can explain the difference between fine-tuning and prompt engineering without breaking a sweat. You don't need to be an ML engineer, but you need to go deeper than surface-level AI hype.You can hold your own in a long-form conversation with an AI researcher, developer, or CTO. Whether it's an X Space or a podcast, you're comfortable going deep on technical topics without losing the audience.You're a strong writer who can go from a punchy tweet to a long-form breakdown without missing a beat.You think in formats, not just words. You see a trending topic and immediately think: what's the best thing we can build around this, not just the best post we can write.You know how to make things go viral. You don't need to be an expert on every single platform, but you understand what makes content spread (the hooks, the formats, the timing) and you can apply that instinct across channels.You're highly online. You know the culture, the memes, and the discourse. You don't need to be told what's trending. You already saw it two hours ago.You're metrics-driven.
