To support those needs, the Consumer Collections & Servicing (CCS) Technology leader has been tasked with technology transformation for CLT.  This includes leading and managing the Cloud, Agile implementation, engineering, operations, governance and all of the tools, products, and training that will enable team members to achieve our transformation.

Within CCS Engineering, the mission is to improve best in class engineered technologies, micro services and best practices that are Agile-minded, commercially-structured, compliance-oriented, and focused on the rapid delivery of high-quality, safe products and services which are consumable at scale.

The Position 
The Technology Executive will be responsible for all technology across collections and recovery and drive transformation of legacy systems into products that are aligned to defined customer journeys while ensuring daily support, systems availability and reliability for all platforms. This role will work closely and partner with CCS Line of Business Executive, product managers and product owners and the CLT Engineering & Architecture team as well as Wells Fargo CTO team. 

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Drive and lead CCS technology modernization agenda, strategy and roadmap including re-platforming current enterprise collections and recovery monolithic application to modern event-driven micro services architecture patterns.
  • Supporting, driving and accelerating application modernization efforts and advance engineering practices across CCS. 
  • Focus on engineering practices, application delivery, application support to go hand in hand with the Business Product Managers that will support the agile transformation and technology modernization agenda.  
  • Application modernization including digitization, enabling customer self-serve, micro services event driven architecture and the advancement of engineering practices that are key to supporting the CCS transformation as a top priority for CCS and the LOB’s being supported. 
  • Build and implement digital & data transformation and drive top-down culture change 
  • Collaborate with Collections & Servicing product owners to establish digital target state and roadmap and oversee execution 
  • Collaborate with CLT Transformation, Enterprise Architecture, and Digital CIO to define technology vision for Collections & Servicing getting buy-in from tech teams and business 
  • Drive the efficiency, productivity and delivery of critical business capabilities with a focus on software, engineering guidelines, leadership, architecture, practice and tools 
  • Identify industry trends and build external network of Operations fintech’s and experts for partnering opportunities 

Other responsibilities/experience needed for this role include:

  • Proven experience in establishing a vision, developing the strategy to support the vision, gaining consensus across key functional leadership through effective communication, and driving action towards the vision through the effective management of goals and objectives
  • Implementing and being an advocate for Domain Driven Design Sessions across Business and Technology
  • Establishing a direct link between requirements and automated tests through Test Driven Development
  • Deep cloud experience (cloud migration, cloud ready applications, resiliency in the cloud, cloud capabilities for incremental deployment, and experience in hybrid cloud environment).
  • Test automation experience (experience developing test across entire test pyramid, test environment management, test from test environments isolation).
  • DevOps experience (CI/CD pipeline, release automation, tollgates, A/B Testing, Blue/Green deployments, Canary deployments).
  • Experience building resilient systems (chaos engineering, circuit breakers, health checks, etc.)
  • Experience driving significant maturity improvements in low-maturity technology environments (experience consulting teams, experience collaborating across enterprise to mature technology solutions, experience delivering production great modern capabilities, experience delivering in Agile environment).

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience
  • 8+ years of experience with strategic planning in technology
  • 8+ years of experience with managing software development projects through complete release cycles
  • 8+ years of leadership and people management experience in a large-scale technology environment


Desired Qualifications

  • A Masters degree or higher in computer science or engineering
  • 8+ years of experience with Agile practices
  • 5+ years of experience with systems architecture and design
  • 5+ years of experience with modern software engineering technologies and tool sets
  • 3+ years of managing a 100+ FTE engineering organization


Other Desired Qualifications
  • 5+ years of payment processing industry experience in Commercial banking, Corporate banking, or Investment banking
  • 10 + years of experience leading and executing complex technology transformational programs across an enterprise
  • 10+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: customer design, business strategy or product management experience
  • 5+ years of experience with one or a combination of the following: compiling and preparing executive summaries, presentations for management and senior leaders
  • 5+ years of experience with data governance and management practices
  • 3+ years of experience presenting to regulators and creating materials for regulatory deliverables
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and building a set of applications within an Engineering framework
  • Executive leadership experience managing a complex technology organization of large scale, including senior managers, managers, individual contributors and vendor resources across multiple global locations
  • Ability to effectively drive and lead change in an organization with Wells Fargo’s size, scale and complexity
  • Strong technical skills in cloud, micro services, containerization, domain-driven design and event-driven architecture
  • Spread innovation across CLT through incorporating Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and container-based architecture into new and existing initiatives
  • Define and substantiate cost for Technology Investments while eliminating wasteful spending
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the financial, operational, technical and regulatory drivers impacting a complex and dynamic global technology environment
  • Strong commitment to diversity and inclusion
