Hardware Technician

IDR is seeking a Hardware Technician to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Plano, Texas. This role involves supporting device deployment and infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation within a dynamic digital experience environment. The company specializes in digital solutions and technology deployment across industries, dedicated to delivering innovative and efficient service.

Position Overview for the Hardware Technician:

• Perform asset disposal, reclamation, and inventory management
• Support device distribution, setup, and imaging
• Conduct regular walkthroughs of the data center floor to monitor equipment, perform hands-on hardware and cabling tasks, and address issues in real time.
• Assist with basic cabling, infrastructure support, and troubleshooting hardware connectivity
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure asset tracking compliance

Requirements for the Hardware Technician:

• Experience with device deployment, imaging, or hardware setup
• Knowledge of asset management, inventory tracking, or device reclamation
• Experience performing data center floor walking, including hands-on hardware support, cabling, and real-time troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with basic cabling, patching, and infrastructure support
• Ability to work onsite 100% in the Plano office
