Job Title: Hardware Lead – Automotive (Infotainment & Telematics)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Hardware Lead with deep expertise in automotive infotainment and telematics systems. The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end hardware design, drive system architecture, and ensure high-quality, reliable product development for next-generation connected vehicle platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead hardware design and development for infotainment and telematics systems
• Drive system architecture, schematic design, and design reviews
• Perform component selection and develop detailed Bill of Materials (BOM)
• Conduct and oversee:
• WCCA (Worst Case Circuit Analysis)
• DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
• FMEDA (Failure Modes, Effects, and Diagnostic Analysis)
• Lead hardware validation and verification testing, including EMC compliance
• Review PCB layouts focusing on high-speed, analog, and RF designs
• Ensure compliance with automotive quality and reliability standards
• Mentor and guide hardware engineering teams

Required Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in automotive hardware development
• 5+ years of experience in infotainment and/or telematics systems
• Strong expertise in:
• Hardware schematic design
• Component selection and BOM management
• Hands-on experience with:
• WCCA, DFMEA, FMEDA
• Hardware design verification and validation

Technical Skills

• Experience with hardware interfaces and technologies:
• Radio systems
• Ethernet
• Audio systems
• A2B (Automotive Audio Bus)
• GMSL (Gigabit Multimedia Serial Link)
• CAN
• GNSS
• Wi-Fi / Bluetooth
• V2X
• 5G Modems
• Proficiency with tools such as:
• Medini
• Mathcad
• PSpice / LTSpice

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automotive safety and reliability standards
• Strong understanding of high-speed and RF hardware design
• Prior experience in a technical leadership or mentoring role
