Main responsibilities:
- Support the Grocery Manager in overseeing daily operations of the Grocery Department, including Frozen, Dairy, and Beer/Wine
- Lead and supervise associates on assigned shifts, including training, coaching, and providing work direction
- Perform ordering, receiving, pricing, stocking, and merchandising to ensure product availability and presentation standards
- Champion customer service programs and resolve customer concerns in a positive and professional manner
- Open and close the store and assume overall store leadership responsibilities in the absence of store management
- Control shrink and ensure removal of out‑of‑code or discontinued merchandise
- Ensure compliance with company sanitation, safety, security, and operational policies
- Prepare work plans and task lists to support store and night crew operations
- Assist with front end and receiving duties as needed

- Ability to supervise associates and lead store operations with minimal supervision
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced retail environment
- Ability to operate store systems, ordering equipment, and scanning equipment
- Ability to work variable schedules, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to respond appropriately in emergency or equipment malfunction situations
Other requirements:
- Extensive standing and walking throughout the workday
- Ability to lift, stack, and maneuver merchandise weighing up to approximately 80 lbs
- Ability to operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and six‑wheel carts
- Ability to work in a safety‑sensitive position
- Must comply with company attendance, grooming, and dress code policies
