Freelance Graphic Designer
Our client, a corporate financial services organization, is seeking a Freelance Graphic Designer to join its internal marketing and creative team. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on designer who thrives in a collaborative in-house environment and can deliver polished, brand-right work across a variety of initiatives.
Timing: ASAP May
Location: Vernon Hills, IL (hybrid onsite 3 days/week)
Pay Rate: $40-$45/hr.
Duration: 7 months (through 2026 with potential for extension/full-time)
Hrs/wk: 40 (must be available Mon-Fri/9am-3pm CT, flexible start/end times + 1 hour lunch)
What You’ll Do
- Execute high-quality creative across a range of brand and marketing deliverables.
- Work within existing brand standards while helping update style guides and support the rollout of new brands.
- Translate creative direction into polished, production-ready design work.
- Ensure strong typography, visual hierarchy, and overall brand consistency across all materials.
- Support a highly collaborative review process involving multiple stakeholders and multiple rounds of feedback.
- Contribute ideas and concepts when needed, while primarily focusing on strong execution.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong graphic design portfolio demonstrating high-quality, brand-driven work.
- Expertise in typography, layout, and visual hierarchy.
- Experience working within multiple brand style guides and maintaining consistency across deliverables.
- Ability to produce fully integrated, polished creative in a collaborative review environment.
- Comfort receiving feedback from multiple reviewers and iterating quickly.
- Hands-on designer who can execute at a high level in a fast-paced setting.
