General Manager | Government Contracting (Central NY)


We are partnering with a high-growth, mission-driven technology organization supporting the Department of Defense to identify a General Manager to lead multiple business units within a complex, highly regulated environment.

This is a true P&L leadership role with oversight across operations, finance, HR, and compliance, supporting geographically dispersed teams delivering mission-critical services.


What You’ll Do:

• Lead day-to-day operations across multiple business units supporting DoD contracts

• Own full P&L including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and margin performance

• Drive execution across program delivery, ensuring service quality and contract compliance

• Partner with executive leadership on strategic planning and growth initiatives

• Establish KPIs, reporting cadence, and operational discipline across teams

• Oversee contract lifecycle management including FAR, DFARS, and regulatory compliance

• Lead cross-functional teams across finance, HR, supply chain, and contracts

• Serve as the senior escalation point for operational, workforce, and compliance risks


What We’re Looking For:

• 10+ years of leadership experience within government contracting environments

• Strong understanding of FAR, DFARS, and DoD regulatory frameworks

• Proven experience owning or influencing P&L performance

• Background leading multi-functional teams across operations, finance, and HR

• Experience supporting complex contract structures (IDIQs, GWACs, FFP, etc.)

• Ability to lead in highly regulated, audit-heavy environments


Compensation:

• Base salary: $250,000 – $300,000

• Bonus opportunity included
