Position Overview

Moo’d Burger Bar is seeking a systems-driven General Manager to fully oversee daily operations and replace ownership in day-to-day execution.

Core Responsibilities

1. Operational Leadership

  • Oversee all FOH and BOH operations
  • Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control
  • Maintain clean, organized, shift-ready stations at all times
  • Enforce opening and closing checklist compliance
  • Protect brand standards and guest experience
  • Ensure the building is fully operational at all times

You set and maintain the standard.

2. Inventory & Product Control

  • Oversee ordering and maintain accurate pars
  • Prevent product outages through proactive planning
  • Monitor prep levels and product rotation
  • Control waste and protect food cost
  • Verify deliveries and address discrepancies
  • Handle emergency store runs if necessary



3. Staffing, Scheduling & Coverage

You are fully responsible for staffing the building appropriately at all times.

Hiring & Recruiting

  • Maintain an active pipeline of candidates
  • Post and manage job listings
  • Conduct interviews and make hiring decisions
  • Ensure proper onboarding and training
  • Staff appropriately for peak and seasonal volume

Scheduling & Labor Control

  • Build schedules aligned with projected sales
  • Post schedules at least 4 weeks in advance
  • Monitor labor percentage and adjust proactively
  • Ensure strong leadership coverage on peak shifts

Call-Out & Coverage Ownership

  • Coordinate shift replacements
  • Contact available staff
  • Adjust labor as needed
  • Step into operations if necessary
  • Ensure service standards do not suffer

Chronic attendance or performance issues must be addressed immediately through documented coaching or disciplinary action.


4. Team Leadership & Development

  • Hold managers and staff accountable to standards
  • Certify employees before running stations independently
  • Coach performance and conduct write-ups when necessary
  • Develop FOH and BOH leaders
  • Cross-train staff to create operational depth
  • Maintain high expectations while protecting team morale


5. Financial Performance & Controls

  • Monitor food and labor cost trends weekly
  • Protect profitability through operational discipline
  • Identify inefficiencies and correct them
  • Drive sales through proper execution of specials and service
  • Oversee all cash handling procedures
  • Verify nightly counts and deposits
  • Maintain safe change levels
  • Investigate variances immediately
  • Protect company assets and prevent shrinkage
