Job Description

This role supports safe and efficient operations on a construction-related jobsite by performing general labor tasks, including loading and unloading materials, setting up safety zones, and directing vehicle traffic. The position requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Unload and load materials safely and efficiently as directed.
• Follow verbal and written directions from supervisors and site leads.
• Set up and remove jobsite cones and designated work zones to ensure safety and clear traffic flow.
• Direct incoming and outgoing vehicle traffic using a sign paddle and clear hand signals.
• Assist with general construction-related labor tasks as needed, including basic concrete, carpentry, packing, and assembly work.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in and around the parking garage.
• Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly and consistently throughout the shift.
• Report any unsafe conditions, incidents, or equipment issues to the appropriate personnel promptly.

Essential Skills

• Experience performing general labor tasks in construction or similar environments.
• Ability to follow directions accurately and work safely under supervision.
• Capability to perform physical, manual labor for extended periods, including lifting, carrying, and standing.
• Familiarity with basic construction site practices and safety procedures.
• Experience working as a flagger or directing vehicle traffic using a sign paddle.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work scheduled overnight and weekend shifts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in construction, concrete work, carpentry, packing, or assembly.
• Previous experience in a parking garage or similar structured facility environment.
• Comfort working outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
• Strong communication skills to provide clear directions to drivers and team members.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team and support multiple tasks as needed.

Work Environment

This position is based in a parking garage environment supporting construction-related activities. You must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. The schedule primarily consists of Friday and Saturday nights from 5:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., as well as Saturday shifts from 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., requiring comfort with long, overnight, and weekend hours. The work involves standing, walking, and performing manual labor for extended periods, often around moving vehicles and active work zones, with a strong emphasis on safety and situational awarenes

This is a Contract position based out of West Palm Beach, FL.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in West Palm Beach,FL.
