Robert Half is partnering with a global company seeking a General Counsel to serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive team. This role will oversee all legal functions and help guide the company through continued growth at its Orlando headquarters. Position provides a competitive compensation package including base salary, bonus, ESOP/Stock Options, relocation and full benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct experience with government contracts and federal procurement (FAR) is required, including compliance obligations applicable to vendors and customers of U.S. federal agencies
- Advise on securities law and public company compliance, including SEC reporting and compliance, disclosures, and corporate governance
- Exposure to contracting or regulatory matters involving federal agencies such as DOD, DHS, FCC, or DOE
- Advise executive leadership on legal strategy, risk, and compliance
- Draft and negotiate commercial agreements, including vendor and distribution contracts
- Counsel on regulatory matters, including telecom, privacy, and government contracting
- Support M&A, fundraising, and corporate transactions
- Maintain corporate governance, filings, and contract management
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and member in good standing with the Florida Bar (or eligible for in-house certification)
- Experience working in a publicly traded company environment is required
- 10+ years of broad-based legal experience, including contracts, litigation, M&A, employment, corporate governance, and commercial transactions
