The Gate to Gate Driver is responsible for providing ground transportation services to Global Services members and customers traveling in United Global First who require connection assistance at designated hub airports. The role involves transporting passengers via authorized airport vehicles across the airfield/tarmac between aircraft and terminals while ensuring the highest standards of safety, service excellence, and regulatory compliance.
Hourly Pay: $24.41

Shift: Mon-Sun (4pm-12:30am)- Flexible days, likely shift time and might change.

Perform pre-operation safety inspections of vehicles and equipment at the beginning of each shift in accordance with Environmental Safety & Health (ES&H) policies.
- Safely transport eligible passengers between gates, terminals, and aircraft using authorized airport vehicles on the tarmac.
- Operate and utilize required technology systems to receive, track, and complete passenger transfer assignments.
- Maintain accurate records by completing transfer logs and documenting operational activities throughout the shift.
- Fuel, clean, and maintain vehicles as necessary to ensure readiness and professional presentation.
- Immediately report vehicle damage, mechanical issues, or safety concerns following established company procedures.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with supervisors, shift coordinators, Global Services representatives, and operations staff to coordinate passenger transfers and ensure efficient service delivery.
- Perform miscellaneous or additional duties as assigned to support operational needs.
- Will Drive a Sedan or SUV with a max of 5 passengers including the driver.
Daily Operational Tasks
- Pick up and return assigned radio/phone, vehicle keys, and transfer logs at the start and end of each shift.
- Conduct safety inspections and document vehicle condition at the beginning and end of the shift.
- Submit completed transfer documentation to the Global Services Supervisor or Lead at the end of the shift.
Driver Conduct and Professional Etiquette
- Adhere to all company policies and airport regulations governing vehicle operations on the airfield
- Cell phone use is strictly prohibited while operating a vehicle.
- Ensure vehicle radio volume is appropriate and music selection maintains a professional atmosphere (e.g., classical or soft jazz).
- Maintain proper driver positioning and situational awareness while operating vehicles on the ramp and tarmac.
Appearance & Identification
- Maintain full compliance with company uniform and grooming standards.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited in company vehicles.
- Carry all required identification at all times, including:
- Company ID and Airport Identification
- State and Port Authority Driver’s License
Safety & Compliance
- Comply with all applicable ADA and Air Carrier Access Act (ACAA) non-discrimination requirements.
- Verify that the number of passengers transported does not exceed the number of available seat belts.
- Confirm all passengers are properly seated and that seat belts are worn by all vehicle occupants prior to operating the vehicle.
- Suspend vehicle operations during hazardous conditions such as lightning, heavy rain, snow, or ice on the airfield.
- Ensure passengers have appropriate footwear when using jet bridge stairs.
- Maintain appropriate footwear suitable for ramp operations and jet bridge access.
- Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards established by the Company, its Clients, airport authorities, and regulatory agencies.
