We are looking for a hands-on Front of House / Bar Manager who thrives in a high-volume environment, leads by example, and understands that great hospitality drives sales.

Position Overview

The FOH / Bar Manager is responsible for leading all front-of-house and bar operations, with a strong emphasis on salesmanship, guest experience, staff leadership, scheduling accuracy, and bar inventory control.

This is a working management position requiring consistent floor presence, strong communication, and attention to detail.

Schedule & Time Commitment

  • 50–60 hours per week required
  • 5 nights per week
  • Work week is Friday through Tuesday
  • Nights, weekends, and holidays are required
  • This position is not remote or hybrid

We are seeking candidates who understand and are comfortable with the demands of restaurant leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Sales

  • Lead by example in providing warm, friendly, high-energy hospitality
  • Actively build relationships with guests and create regulars
  • Coach staff on upselling, suggestive selling, and beverage knowledge
  • Ensure consistent service standards and guest satisfaction

FOH & Bar Operations

  • Oversee daily front-of-house and bar operations during service
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient bar and dining room
  • Manage bar flow, pacing, and guest engagement during peak hours

Staff Leadership & Scheduling

  • Create accurate, cost-effective staff schedules
  • Ensure proper coverage for volume, events, and seasonality
  • Train, coach, and hold FOH and bar staff accountable to standards
  • Address performance issues professionally and promptly

Inventory & Cost Control

  • Manage bar inventory, ordering, and organization
  • Monitor liquor, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverage usage
  • Control waste, over-pouring, and inventory variances
  • Work within cost targets set by ownership

Communication & Accountability

  • Communicate effectively with ownership and kitchen leadership
  • Assist with implementing systems, SOPs, and service improvements
  • Ensure policies and procedures are followed consistently

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of FOH and/or Bar Management experience (restaurant or bar)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to drive sales through hospitality and service
  • Experience with staff scheduling and bar inventory management
  • Comfortable working long hours in a fast-paced environment
  • POS experience (Toast preferred but not required)
  • Reliable, professional, and solution-oriented
