Forklift Operator

We are seeking a skilled forklift operator to efficiently and safely load and unload floor-loaded trucks. The role involves performing heavy lifting and manual handling of products, operating a sit-down forklift to move, stack, and organize materials within the warehouse. You will also be responsible for daily inspections of forklifts and other equipment, promptly reporting any maintenance needs, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company and OSHA standards. This position also requires assisting with inventory control and accurate documentation of shipments, as well as collaborating with team members and supervisors to meet operational goals.

Responsibilities

• Unload and load floor-loaded trucks safely and efficiently.
• Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of products as required.
• Operate a sit-down forklift to move, stack, and organize materials within the warehouse.
• Inspect forklift and other equipment daily; report maintenance needs promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company and OSHA standards.
• Assist with inventory control and accurate documentation of shipments.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet operational goals.

• Proven experience in warehouse operations and forklift operation.
• Valid forklift certification (sit-down forklift experience required).
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

The work schedule is from 7 AM to 5 PM for now. Employees are required to wear steel toe boots and plain work attire.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Charleston, SC.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in North Charleston,SC.
