Forklift Operator $18-19.50/hr

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate stand‑up / man‑up forklifts to move, stage, and kit materials
  • Review printed pick lists and verify inventory availability and accuracy
  • Label, tag, and organize parts and materials within the warehouse
  • Count and verify physical inventory by hand to ensure accuracy
  • Perform basic computer data entry and inventory system navigation
  • Support inventory control efforts and maintain organized storage areas
  • Follow all safety procedures and warehouse guidelines
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of forklift experience within the last 5 years
  • Experience operating forklifts and electric pallet carts in a warehouse environment
  • Comfortable with basic computer use and data entry
  • Ability to bend, twist, and lift as required for inventory verification
  • Willingness to work required overtime
  • Comfortable working at heights while wearing required safety harnesses
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Experience in inventory control or cycle counting
  • Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to work independently
Schedule & Work Environment
  • Shifts Available:
    • 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
  • Training conducted on day shift for approximately 1–3 weeks
  • Mandatory overtime as needed, including Saturdays
  • Warehouse environment requiring standing, walking, lifting, and forklift operation

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Decatur, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.65/hr.
