Forklift Operator

We are hiring an experienced Material Handler / Forklift Operator to support daily warehouse and shipping operations. This role is ideal for candidates with forklift, warehouse, shipping & receiving, or production experience who want stable work in a clean, climate‑controlled facility.

🔧 Job Responsibilities

• Operate a sit‑down forklift to move materials safely throughout the warehouse
• Use RF scan guns to scan, track, and document product movement
• Load and unload trailers and stage product for shipping
• Assist production or packaging teams with material supply as needed
• Use internal shipping and inventory systems
• Inspect inbound and outbound product for accuracy and quality
• Support warehouse organization, labeling, and material flow
• Act as a warehouse lead on the floor, helping guide teammates (no direct management responsibilities)
• Follow safety rules, GMP guidelines, and standard operating procedures

✅ Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED
• 1+ year of forklift experience (sit‑down preferred)
• 6+ months of warehouse, manufacturing, or production experience
• Experience with material handling, shipping, or receiving
• Comfortable working with RF scanners and warehouse systems

⭐ Preferred Experience (Not Required)

• Shipping & receiving experience
• General labor or assembly experience
• Loading, unloading, and inventory work
• Forklift driver or warehouse associate experience

🏭 Work Environment

• Clean, temperature‑controlled warehouse
• GMP‑regulated environment
• Dress Code:
  • Steel‑toe boots
  • Long pants (jeans or khakis)
  • T‑shirt
• PPE provided (ear protection, hair nets, etc.)
• Team‑oriented, safety‑first operation

⏰ Schedule

• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Training provided on 1st shift

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Iowa City, IA.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.50/hr.
