Forklift Operator And Material Handler 3rd Shift

The role involves ensuring the proper handling of products through essential tasks such as loading, unloading, weighing, bagging, packing, unpacking, and labeling of pallets. The position also requires palletizing frozen meat from the chest freezer and placing it on pallets for shipment. Operating a sit-down forklift to move products is also a critical part of the job.

Responsibilities

• Handle products through loading, unloading, weighing, bagging, packing, unpacking, and labeling of pallets.
• Palletize frozen meat from chest freezer and prepare pallets for shipment.
• Operate a sit-down forklift to move products efficiently.

• Experience in warehouse operations and general labor.
• Proficiency in material handling and lifting techniques.
• Ability to operate a sit-down forklift.

• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment

The work environment is colder due to the handling of frozen material, with temperatures around 50 degrees in winter and 80 degrees in summer. The facility handles totes of chicken parts, resulting in a strong smell characteristic of frozen meat.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mifflintown, PA.

The pay range for this position is $20.67 - $20.67/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Mifflintown,PA.
