The Football Recruiting Coordinator oversees all aspects of BGSU Football recruiting and personnel operations. Reporting to the Head Coach, this position leads the implementation of the program’s recruiting strategy and roster management plan. Responsibilities include managing high school and transfer portal recruiting, coordinating official and unofficial visits, guiding prospects through the transition to enrolled student-athletes, and ensuring ongoing compliance with NCAA and institutional regulations.
- Oversee recruiting operations with a main focus on the state of Ohio while still prioritizing secondary states
- Manage player evaluation with coaches and staff, using a consistent, data-driven approach to assess and identify player value.
- Actively evaluate the current player roster.
- Manage and execute recruitment strategies and processes, recruit communication and correspondence, all prospect official and unofficial visits and events, transfer portal and high school evaluation.
- Develop a 12-month recruiting calendar with DFO
- Establish the database of head coaches and prospects utilizing varied recruiting services, updating recruiting boards and maintaining prospect information, identifying target recruiting areas, and working directly with coaches on recruiting needs.
- Work with Head Football Coach and Director of Football Operations to develop prospect camps, youth camps, team camps, and the logistics for marketing and execution of each while adhering to NCAA rules.
- Assist prospective student-athletes and their families with NCAA eligibility, admissions, housing, and orientation requirements.
- Manage the onboarding process of prospective student-athletes with Director of Football Operations and other campus partners.
- Adhere to and monitor recruiting budget and expenses including expense reports and payments as directed by the Director of Football Operations and Head Football Coach.
- Serve as the football program’s NFL Liaison between Bowling Green Football players and staff and NFL personnel, including Bowling Green NFL College Relations page, organizing NFL personnel visits on-campus, and organizing NFL Pro Day.
- Coordinate logistics for campus visits and events, including scheduling, travel arrangements for recruits and families, and communication with staff to ensure a smooth experience.
- Maintain the football recruiting database to keep track of visits, information gathered during these visits, and what prospective student-athletes have done during those visits.
- Input compliance forms pre and post visit for prospective student-athletes
- Conduct tours and train staff/students on how to conduct tours.
- Coordinate with a variety of vendors from hotels, caterers, rental companies, etc. for football recruiting events and visits
- Maintain and update the Teamworks Recruiting database, including prospect and coach information, and manage the evaluation process in collaboration with assistant coaches.
- Assist in the identification, evaluation, and background checks of prospective student-athletes.

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1 year of experience within an NCAA Football program – Coaching, recruiting, operations, playing, etc.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience within an NCAA D-I Football program
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities- Excellent communication skills – both written and oral
