A Mechanical Technician (MT) brings hands-on expertise and precision to complex mechanical systems, with a strong foundation in safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key capabilities include:
Proficient in using hand and power tools for demolition of tubing and piping systems
Solid understanding of rigging practices and crane operations (in coordination with operators)
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, along with verifying and inspecting LOTO procedures
Skilled in evaluating work instructions to identify improvements and drive efficiency
Expertise in fabrication and installation of 37° flared tubing systems for cryogenic applications, ensuring zero residual stress
Strong knowledge of proper torquing techniques using calibrated torque wrenches
Additional preferred qualifications:
Experience in welding pipe supports
Structural welding certification (AWS D1.1)
ASME B31.3 pipe welding certification
ASME B31.3 orbital tube welding experience
Fall protection training (highly encouraged due to elevated work environments)
