Our client, a leading global organization in industrial technology and automation, is seeking a mid-level Flow Controller to support supply chain operations at their Tualatin, Oregon facility. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the efficient flow of materials and strengthening supplier relationships in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This position is ideal for a supply chain professional with strong upstream planning and forecasting experience, excellent collaboration skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Ensure continuous flow of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies to support production
- Manage supplier relationships and communications through purchasing systems and portals
- Oversee purchase order lifecycle, including creation, tracking, and rescheduling
- Coordinate open purchase orders and order scheduling activities
- Manage upstream backorders and component shortages to maintain material availability
- Monitor supplier performance using KPIs and address delays or discrepancies
- Take daily action on Material Requirements Planning (MRP) messages and escalate recurring issues
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in short interval management (SIM)
- Collaborate cross-functionally with planning, procurement, and operations teams
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, or related field
- Strong experience in planning, forecasting, and supply flow management
- Proven ability to build relationships and work across multiple teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other business applications
- Experience working in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems
- Engineering degree or equivalent practical experience
- Background in cost analysis, including Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
- Strong negotiation skills
