Job Title: Float Phlebotomist

Pay: $25/hour

Job Description

Join a dynamic team as a Float Phlebotomist, where you will have the opportunity to work across multiple patient service centers throughout Long Island. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy a change of scenery and are comfortable with in-state travel.

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood draws using straight needles primarily, with the ability to use butterfly needles for difficult cases.
  • Conduct blood draws at various patient service centers throughout Long Island.
  • Utilize phlebotomy skills for both adult and pediatric patients, with experience in infant draws being a plus.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and handle specimen processing as required.
  • Provide excellent patient care and ensure the comfort and safety of patients during procedures.

Essential Skills

  • Proficient in phlebotomy and blood draw techniques.
  • Experience with straight needle blood draws.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in drawing blood.
  • Strong attention to detail and administrative skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with pediatric and infant blood draws is advantageous.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Work Environment

Candidates need to be availble to work Monday through Friday from 7am to 7pm as needed, with every other Saturday from 7am to 3:30pm or Sunday from 9am to 2pm. Employees will not work this full schudle but will get 40 hours a week. Employees will float to various locations across Long Island. Mileage reimbursement is offered for travel exceeding 30 miles per day between sites, with a reimbursement rate of $0.61/mile.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
