Overview
Presbyterian Homes & Services is seeking aFitness Instructor forour team.The Fitness Instructor leads, instructs and motivates individuals or groups in exercise activities in assigned PHS locations. This may include aquatic exercise activities if aquatic facilities are located on the assigned campus. The Fitness Instructor works with the Fitness Director to develop the curriculum and lesson plans necessary to ensure classes are delivered to address the wellness objectives of the participants. Additional responsibilities include: ensuring the facilities and equipment are operating safely, maintaining a high level of sanitation and cleanliness in the Fitness areas, and ensuring program and services are operated in accordance to policies and procedures as well as State and local regulations.
SITES SUPPORTED AND SCHEDULE:
Full Time Hours supporting Boutwells Landing, Croixdale, Stonecrest, St. Andrew’s Village, and The Deerfield. The ideal candidate will work 35 hours split between communities. Weekday schedule, Monday-Friday 8am-4pm.
REPORTING STRUCTURE: The Fitness Instructor reports the the Fitness Director at the designated HUB.This position collaborates with Site Leaders and staff at designated work sites.

Responsibilities
Some of the responsibilities of the Fitness Instructor include (but are not limited to):
Qualifications
1. High school graduate or equivalent.
2. Bachelors degree preferred in a related field or equivalent experience in the fitness industry.
3. Current nationally recognized certification in CPR.
4. Current Personal Training Certification
5. Current Group Fitness Certification
6. Must have the ability to relate professionally positively, and work cooperatively with residents, guests, families, and employees at all levels.
7. Able and willing to travel to other PHS communities.
8. Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies.
9. Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
Pay Range
The estimated starting pay range for this role is $22.48 - $27.67 per hour. This good faith estimate is based upon PHS’s typical starting pay range for this role. Actual pay range depends upon many factors including each individual employee’s qualifications and market conditions and is subject to change.Benefits
