Firmware Engineer

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
• 5+ years of experience developing embedded C/C++ firmware in hardware-adjacent environments
• 2+ years DevOps experience with the ability to implement DevOps practices within an embedded firmware team
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, including configuration and administration of Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts, and security/permissions
• Experience building CI/CD solutions, designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines from the ground up specifically for embedded firmware (not limited to cloud or web applications)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Insight Global is seeking a Embedded Firmware Engineer to support a large industrial automation and manufacturing technology client in Shakopee, MN. This is a newly created role within a team that designs and maintains wireless field instruments and transmitters used to measure pressure, temperature, level, acoustics, and other critical process variables. The team supports a mix of new product development and legacy platforms and is currently migrating from ClearCase to Azure DevOps. This role is being added to support that transition and to establish modern DevOps practices within an embedded firmware environment.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
