This position is responsible for extinguishing fires, providing emergency medical intervention, conducting fire prevention activities, and educating the public. Duties include assessing the nature and extent of illness or injury at emergency scenes and administering initial treatment.

Recruitment Process:

2. JTS - tentatively scheduled for 05/27/2026 and 05/28/2026

3. Panel Interview - tentatively scheduled for 06/08/2026 and 06/09/2026
• If you are selected to interview, you will participate in a 20-30 minute interview with a panel of current Firefighters and Fire Officers. Candidates are ranked by the results of this panel.
4. Background Investigation
• A thorough investigation will be conducted based on the responses from your interview, Personal History Statement packet, and reference checks.
5. In-home Chief's Interview - tentatively scheduled for week of 06/22/2026 – 06/26/2026
• A Chief Officer from the department will interview you in your home.
6. Fire Chief's Interview - tentatively scheduled for the week of 06/22/2026 – 06/26/2026
• Interview with the Fire Chief
• Original copies of certain documentation must be provided for verification purposes.
• Conditional offer of employment contingent upon medical examination
7. Medical Examination/Drug Screen
8. Final offer of employment - tentative start date in mid July
