Job Title: Fire Pump Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a Fire Pump Technician with a flair for sales for a unique hybrid role. The ideal candidate will have prior hands-on experience with fire pump systems and sprinkler boosters. Initially, you will work alongside our seasoned technicians for several months to familiarize yourself with our processes and service standards. Eventually, the role will transition into a commercial sales position, capitalizing on your technical expertise to build credibility with customers. This is not your typical sales position; experience in fire pump service is a must.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on fire pump systems and sprinkler boosters.
• Conduct preventive and field maintenance on low voltage systems.
• Communicate technical information effectively to both team members and clients.
• Engage in PLC troubleshooting and electrical maintenance.
• Participate in system installations and service operations.
• Develop sales strategies leveraging technical knowledge to establish credibility with customers.

Essential Skills

• Hands-on experience with fire pump systems and sprinkler boosters.
• Strong understanding of the service aspects of fire pump systems.
• Ability to communicate technical details clearly.
• Interest or aptitude in customer-facing and sales responsibilities.

Pay: $30-45/hr depending on experience

Work Environment

The company operates two subsidiaries focusing on initial service and maintenance. Specializing in plumbing and fire protection pumping systems, our operations involve vertical turbine pumps, centrifugal pumps, and various specialty electrical and control systems. Work hours are Monday to Friday, with shifts starting between 6-7 AM and ending between 2-3 PM. You will work closely with a lead technician daily to gain comprehensive insights into our services.

This is a Permanent position based out of White Plains, NY.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.

This is a hybrid position in White Plains,NY.
