JOB SUMMARY
Works under minimal supervision to provide knowledge and expertise in operation and support of one or more sectional safety programs and compliance with regulatory agencies and national guidelines in the Office of Safety & Business Continuity.
Review life safety/fire protection plans; inspect campus facilities per codes/TJC; document and communicate deficiencies. Research/apply applicable codes; advise staff/contractors. Troubleshoot, maintain/repair, or oversee vendors for fire protection systems. Develop/deliver/supervise fire-safety training. Meet schedules; complete assigned projects. Prepare for, respond to, and mitigate fires, floods, and hazmat incidents; use PPE incl. SCBA; obtain/maintain certifications; participate in drills. Essential, on-call role; respond after hours as needed to sustain operations. Perform admin/program tasks and manage projects. Other duties as assigned.
