Position: Fire Alarm Technician

Location: Marietta, GA

Employment Type: Permanent / Full-Time

Pay: Starting at $50-$60/hr/$100k-$125k/y (Open to discuss)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to install, inspect, program, test, and maintain fire alarm systems in commercial and residential settings. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong troubleshooting skills and a solid understanding of fire alarm systems and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, program, and update fire alarm systems in commercial buildings
• Perform inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance on fire alarm systems
• Troubleshoot and repair existing alarm systems
• Ensure systems are installed and functioning in compliance with applicable codes and standards
• Complete detailed inspection and service reports, documenting deficiencies and corrective actions
• Respond to emergency service calls as required
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Qualifications Required

• High school diploma or GED
• NICET Certification – Level II or higher (Mandatory Requirement)
• Experience working with commercial and/or residential fire alarm systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred

• Knowledge of NFPA standards (including NFPA 70 and NFPA 72)
• Experience with inspections, programming, and system commissioning

Physical Requirements

• Ability to climb ladders and stairs frequently
• Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 4 hours at a time)
