Role Summary:

The Financial Analyst is part of a team of individuals responsible for the analysis of the Company’s financial results and support of the annual financial and operating budgets and quarterly forecasts. This individual will also be responsible for preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual analyses of financial performance variances. This role will require the individual to be the liaison between sales, supply chain and finance, providing insight through data mining and reporting. This position will report directly to the Sr. Finance Manager and plays a key role on the FP&A team to create a consistent and standardized planning and forecasting process across the company. In addition, this position will be involved in responding to ad-hoc requests and will interact with Executives, Sales, Finance and Accounting personnel.


Roles and Responsibilities:

1.Support the design and build of reporting processes to deliver high quality business insight and supporting commentaries

2.Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders in functions and teams across the business

3.Develop a robust rolling forecasting process and leverage the process to identify risks and opportunities

4.Provide clear and concise variance analysis and ongoing assessment of performance to budget

5.Prepare periodic (monthly, quarterly, annual) and ad hoc financial and operating reports, report packages, flashes, dashboards and analyses

6.Deliver regularly scheduled reports to sales and finance

7.Assist with financial and operational due diligence


Qualifications / Core Skills

  1. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or business management, MBA a plus-
  2. 1-3 years on a FP&A team
  3. Data-driven individual with an innate curiosity to mine data and present views
  4. Demonstrated ability to research, analyze and interpret financial data, participating cross-functionally to develop a wide range of reports and analysis used for formulating recommendations.
  5. Strong working knowledge of planning and accounting systems.-Strong financial acumen and understanding of relationship between all financial statements.-Strong computer skills - high level of proficiency in Excel; Proficient in planning, ERP, reporting systems, and PowerPoint. Prior experience with NetSuite preferred. Business intelligence package knowledge (Tableau, MS BI) a plus
  6. Demonstrated hands-on experience in managing the full P&L, including forecasting and budgets; ability to perform complex financial analysis and customized reporting.
  7. Ability to challenge business assumptions.
  8. Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  9. Ability to produce consistent positive results with minimal supervision and direction.-
  10. Superior attention to detail and quality.


Location: This role and can be based our out of our Rolling Meadows, IL (HQ) office.


Type of Employment: Full-time salaried position with benefits.


Reporting: This position will report to the Sr. Finance Manager.
