Financial Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY: The Financial Analyst supports financial planning, reporting, and analysis across North American manufacturing operations. This role partners closely with Plant Controllers, operations leaders, and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain strong cost controls, and provide insights that drive business performance. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for Plant Controllers
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of manufacturing variance accounts during month-end close
  • Analyze bill of materials (BOM) and work orders; track and explain cost variances
  • Support labor reporting and workforce cost analysis across multiple plants
  • Participate in continuous improvement and Lean initiatives within manufacturing sites
  • Assist with inventory management, including excess and obsolete analysis, reserve calculations, and disposition planning
  • Partner with Purchasing and Sourcing teams to review Purchase Price Variance (PPV)
  • Prepare month-end journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements related to manufacturing operations
  • Record and validate inventory transactions across North American facilities
  • Develop and analyze labor and overhead rates (bi-annually or as needed)
  • Monitor and explain monthly trends, spending patterns, and operational variances by plant
  • Support quoting and product costing activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial visibility and cost transparency
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Plant Controllers


Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance; manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and accounting software
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong skills across Microsoft Office Suite
  • CPA or progress toward certification is a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to manufacturing sites
