At Regions, the Financial Manager - Business Support provides leadership and direction to business unit leaders to develop annual financial strategic plans, budgets, model initiatives, and leads annual Dodd-Frank Act stress testing (DFAST) and Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) processes.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serves as a strategic partner to business unit leaders by providing key insights, data, and recommendations for key business decisions
  • Provides financial leadership, expertise, and guidance in areas of forecasting, budgeting, reporting, analysis, and strategic planning
  • Assists in developing strategic plans and mitigating financial and credit risks
  • Provides proactive analysis and expertise to support operating plans and forecasts
  • Incorporates all key financial information into financial model and reviews results of model for net impact and reasonableness
  • Delivers leadership and innovative solutions across the business
  • Identifies and implements opportunities for use of newsystems and processes

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

This position is incentive eligible.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or finance
  • Eight (8) years of progressive experience in a finance role

Preferences

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) and/or Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

The Financial Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting of assigned projects. This role partners with project managers, business leaders, and finance teams to ensure projects are delivered on budget, forecasts are accurate, risks are mitigated, and financial performance aligns with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Optimizes capital investment to execute on enterprise-wide initiatives as well as business specific to drive growth.
  • Serve as the primary finance liaison with internal stakeholders, including partnering closely with the strategy team to ensure investments link to the Strategic plan.
  • Prepare and present regular financial reports for stakeholders, including project status, forecasts, and variance analysis
  • Support investment committee and senior leadership presentations with clear financial insights
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with accounting, procurement, and contracts teams on financial matters.
  • Assist with audits and provide financial documentation as required
  • Support project setup, cost tracking, and revenue recognition processes
  • Mentor and review work prepared by junior finance and project team members.
  • Contribute to process improvements, standardization of models, and best practices across the organization.

This position is intended to be onsite in Birmingham, Atlanta, or Charlotte, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations.Position will require travel 25% of the year.

This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

50th Percentile:

$145,720.00 USD

Incentive Pay Plans:

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary incentive plan. Employees are eligible to receive a discretionary award based on individual, business, and/or company performance.Opportunity to participate in the Long Term Incentive Plan.
