Field Verification / P&ID Technician

Position Overview
Industrial Systems Consulting (ISC) is seeking experienced Field Verification / P&ID Technicians to support onsite work aligning field conditions with engineering drawings.
This role is focused on ensuring that P&IDs, equipment data, and system configurations accurately reflect what is installed and operating in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform plant walkdowns to verify equipment, piping systems, and instrumentation
- Identify discrepancies between field conditions and existing P&IDs
- Mark up and redline P&IDs with accurate field data
- Support the creation and updating of as-built drawings
- Document equipment tag information, line numbers, and system configurations
- Work closely with engineers and designers to resolve discrepancies
- Capture field data clearly and accurately for downstream updates
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in industrial facilities (oil & gas, refining, petrochemical, or similar)
- Strong understanding of P&IDs, piping systems, and plant layout
- Experience performing field walkdowns / as-built verification
- Ability to interpret and update engineering drawings
- Familiarity with tools such as AutoCAD or AutoCAD Plant 3D (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in the field
Preferred Qualifications
- Background as a piping designer, field engineer, or maintenance technician
- Experience with brownfield facilities where drawings are incomplete or outdated
- Ability to work directly with operations and maintenance personnel
