PC Deployment / Desktop Support Technician – Milwaukee Area

Description

We’re looking for a hands‑on PC Deployment / Desktop Support Technician to support device refresh and deployment efforts across the Milwaukee area. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys working directly with end users, setting up new equipment, and keeping deployments running smoothly in a healthcare environment.

You’ll be responsible for imaging, deploying, and troubleshooting laptops and desktops while providing on‑site support to clinical and non‑clinical staff. Strong attention to detail, customer service, and the ability to work independently are key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform laptop and desktop refresh and deployment tasks, including setup, configuration, and basic troubleshooting
• Provide on‑site technical support to staff during PC deployments, ensuring minimal disruption to day‑to‑day operations
• Track equipment inventory and document service requests and deployments accurately
• Collaborate with IT team members to resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently
• Follow established IT standards, security guidelines, and internal procedures

Qualifications

• Previous experience in PC deployment, field services, or desktop/technical support
• Strong customer service and communication skills, especially when working with non‑technical users
• Detail‑oriented with solid organizational and documentation skills
• Self‑motivated and able to manage tasks independently across multiple locations
• Familiarity with healthcare or enterprise IT environments is a plus but not required

Education & Experience

• Prior experience supporting or deploying computers in a professional environment preferred

Working Conditions

• Primarily supporting locations in the Milwaukee area, with occasional travel to other sites as needed
• Must be able to lift, move, and set up computer equipment

Intermediate Level

This is a Contract position based out of Milwaukee, WI.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Milwaukee,WI.
