SUMMARY
Responsible for providing in-house and onsite technical support, preventative maintenance, field repair, and commissioning of a variety of voltage control and power quality equipment. Also responsible for verifying scheduling of service calls with customers and meeting pre-scheduled preventative maintenance agreements. Includes but not limited to troubleshooting, testing, repairing and maintaining a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment. Provides pre-sales and post sales technical support to the sales team. This position requires domestic and occasional international travel. Quoting and Scheduling Service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES may include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as required.
Responsible for final testing and inspection prior to shipping as required when not dispatched in the field. Evaluate and perform corrective maintenance utilizing in-depth troubleshooting of a wide variety of equipment at customer sites. Perform start up services on all products such as voltage regulator and UPS products at customer sites. Provide technical assistance over the telephone as required. Provide written reports for all repair activities including time sheets and expense reports to support the timely invoicing of customers. Provide feedback to management for the purpose of improving customer satisfaction. Provide input for the development of Field Service and Tech Support Policies and Procedures. Act as technical interface for customers and channel partners.9. Quote services and/or parts required by the customer.
Schedule service calls for Technicians, Authorized Service Providers (ASPs), or themselves. Primary Service Representative for top tier Service customers. (Philips Medical and Current/Dualite). Assist others in the Service department as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum, 2 year technical degree in electronic or electrical engineering technology and one year of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Good understanding of power quality equipment. Working knowledge of electrical and electronic principles. Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, specifications, and operation manuals. Experience with computer applications (ERP systems, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
