Position Overview
A regional operations team is seeking a dynamic City Launcher to build, train, and maintain a high-quality workforce and exceptional customer experience within a defined San Francisco region or hub. Part recruiter, part field operator, and part trainer, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in hiring, training, operational excellence, and direct field engagement. The City Launcher serves as the local owner of operations and quality, supporting market launches and ongoing performance for onsite support specialists (OSS).
Key Responsibilities
Hiring & Onboarding
- Source, interview, and hire Onsite Support Specialists (OSS) for your assigned hub
- Ensure all candidates meet required quality standards and professionalism
- Own onboarding to set new OSS up for success from day one
Training & Enablement
- Conduct initial and ongoing training for OSS staff
- Reinforce standards for setup, labeling, and customer experience
- Ensure operational playbook and expectations are clearly understood
Field Quality & Performance Management
- Oversee live coverage and hands-on support for new customer launchers
- Conduct field evaluations and provide direct feedback/coaching
- Identify high performers and underperformers; take appropriate action
Market Development & Ad Hoc Operations
- Support local growth initiatives, including test orders, restaurant visits, and new partner development
- Act as the boots-on-the-ground representative of operations for your region
Ownership of Hub Performance
- Maintain a strong OSS pipeline and ensure readiness for all shifts
- Proactively fill coverage gaps and address risks with Shift Leads and centralized operations
- Deliver consistent onsite experience and order quality throughout the hub
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in operations, field management, recruiting, or training roles
- Strong ability to quickly assess people and performance
- Comfortable giving direct field feedback and coaching
- Highly organized and self-directed; thrives in dynamic field roles
- Willingness to be present in the field regularly

- Experience in marketplace operations, gig workforce management, or hospitality
